Hello, This might seem like an off the cuff post but I think theres something to find here. A couple of years ago, I remember hearing an audio file from somewhere that was supposedly a.. remake of "Smelly Tounges" (no it isnt from the "I Am A Resident" project) if I remeber correctly the song had a lush instrumental that sounded like an environment filled with birds and animals.. after that it transitoned into a very industrial sounding rendition of "Smelly Tounges" this was of course accompanied with a screamo-esque vocal.. thats what I can remember at least.. I've tried everywhere to find it but can't. Hopefully you guys, may have an idea/clue about what this could be..

Hello, I'm new to this wiki and am an avid fan of the res so much so I tried to make the trek to Glasgow to watch VF on the big screen. Unluckily, I couldn't go. So during this time I've been thinking why dosent Cryptic Corp just remaster the film, add some bonus never before seen footage, and clean up the audio and release it as a blu ray for the collector. With the amount of Res releases I feel this might be necessary.

What are you're thoughts, should VF get a blu ray release?

It is only appropriate that our home page webcomic feature enters hiatus at the end of June in exactly the same way it began 18 months ago - with our longest running entries, Mole Hill and The Negative Zone!

Ive Tried To Understand Them Over Time But Cant Get Any Sense Out Of Them. I Know Its Meant To Be Timmy From "Bad Day" But What Is The Context? Is There Anything From Cryptic or Even From Homer Or Hardy That Can Explain Them? Even The Wiki Page Is Bare.. Help Is Appreciated.

BE WARNED! Recently while scrolling through eBay trying to find some nice deals I found this. A man claiming to have the brand new DDA pREServed. Either this man is a time traveler and already has the new set or this a bold face scam. I read the description and it said jewel case even though we all know the pREServed series comes in a sorta digi pack like packaging not in a jewel case. I don’t know whether to report the listing or not?

What Should I Do?

Let me confess, “The King And Eye” is my guilty pleasure in The Residents discography, a lot of the fans hate on it calling the production amateurish and awkward. But in my opinion the album is great fun and actually pretty cool. In recent months I’ve found my self listening to “Hound Dog” and “Blue Suede Shoes” more than the originals. It’s the residents at there tackiest but I’m all for it.

What are y’all’s opinion on the album?

P.S: If anybody saw the cube e performance please share your expirence and thoughts on that part

God In 3 Persons is considered one of the masterworks by The Residents, but I’ve recently noticed how divisive this album is with the fan base. Many consider it the beginning of the renaissance of the band and others consider it the beginning of the slow grudge that is the modern era. In my humble opinion, G3P is honestly one of the best things the residents have done. But i can get if people find it tedious, for starters the album is basically a long poem set to music. Many get bored after “Hard And Tenderly” due to it being the last song with a bit of rhythm according to the G3P haters. Another reason i see is that it is really long, the album was the first album meant for cd, so they were experimenting with the time limits so it resulted in an hour long album.

Ignoring all of this, can we all come to an agreement that even if we don’t like it or love it to bits, that it was an important album in the resident discography.

Anyways, what’s your opinion on the album?

A couple years ago, I stumbled upon a bizarre album, i was mainly intrigued by its cover a big middle finger to the Meet The Beatles album which i owned. After a quick click i stumbled upon a strange sound id never heard before. I was convinced these guys were insane or crazy. I was at first disturbed so much I couldn’t listen to it for another week, Soon I built up the courage to finish it, and well it was a masterpiece.

Today we raise the glass to one of the most important album in my life, i call it the worst decision in my life as it made me a bit crazy. Now I can’t go a day without whistling “Infant Tango” or the catchy “Numb Erone”. Thanks to it I’m the big res head i am today.

What better way to celebrate this auspicious occasion than with this wonderful commemorative comic from our talented contributor dare? It will be available for viewing on Meet The Residents Wiki throughout the anniversary month of April.

Note: In respect of this notable anniversary, The Mysterious Spanish Ladies have opted to forgo their traditional "prank" April Fool's Day redesign of the wiki in 2024. Keep your eyes peeled in April 2025, wiki-watchers...

Hello, there fellow res heads, i know we are all waiting for the new album “Doctor Dark” and the DDA preserved but has anyone ever though about giving “Bunny Boy” the pREServed treatment? I know it may seem a bit early considering the album came out in 2008 but Animal Lover is getting one which came out in 2005. In my mind The Bunny Boy would be a good chance to execute the triple (trouble!) cds, the first disc would be the album with the rare material, and then the 2nd cd would either be “Postcards from Patamos” or any of the rare bunny boy cds (Arkansas, Ozan, Bunny Boy Live) because those are very coveted and rare. I know we got most of them realesed on vinyl (Ozark and Bunny Boy Live) but those were also limited. So many Res heads have never had the possibility to own them, especially us new fans with no money for the prices on eBay. So it makes sense..

To usher Meet The Residents Wiki into its SIXTH year of operation, The Mysterious Spanish Ladies are thrilled to introduce a brand new feature to the wiki's home page - COMIX!

That's right, as of RIGHT NOW you can see the first two of our ongoing Residents-inspired comic strips on our home page, under the heading "Comix".

Premiering this week: Mole Hill, a Mole Trilogy inspired comic strip by one of The Ladies' newest (and youngest!) contributors, Kula Kirby, and The Negative Zone, an intentionally crudely-drawn semi-constrained comic strip in the vein of Red Meat, by the wiki's head of graphic design Una Misteriosa, featuring the ephemeral character Nobody (removed from The Residents' Not Available early in development).

Throughout the month of January, to celebrate our SIXTH ANNIVERSARY on January 29th, we will be posting new strips every Sunday. From February onwards, the strips will be updated on a sporadic basis, so keep your eyes peeled!

Any budding artists who have a great idea for a strip (either one-shot or ongoing) are encouraged to reach out to The Mysterious Spanish Ladies - if we like your idea/comic we will probably feature it in the following update!
