1986 was primarily focused on The 13th Anniversary Show. The world tour had already started at the end of the previous year, but several dates across different continents would be added throughout 1986.
In between legs of the tour, Stars and Hank Forever!, the second and final installment of The American Composers Series, was released. The accompanying single for the record, a cover of "Kaw-Liga" by Hank Williams, became a sleeper hit on the European dance scene.
