  • 6th: Randy Rose posts a video titled "Randy Returns", the last post on his Tumblr blog.
  • 9th: The official Residents Mr. Blue bobblehead is released by MVD.
  • 25th: The pREServed editions of Eskimo and Commercial Album are released by Cherry Red / MVD.
  • 25th: Cherry Red releases the third entry in their Close to the Noise Floor series, Third Noise Principle, focusing on innovative North American electronic music from 1975 to 1984. The Residents contribute the unreleased track "99 Space Music".
  • 29th: The Residents perform In Between Dreams in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
  • 30th: The Residents perform In Between Dreams in Berlin, Germany.
  • 31st: The Residents perform In Between Dreams in Essen, Germany.

  • 23rd: In Between Dreams Live is released on CD and vinyl by Secret Records.
    • A vinyl EP, Dreaming of an Eyeball Beaming, consisting of the encore and interludes from the show, is sold exclusively as physical product (no download option).
  • 31st: Eskimo Deconstructed, a collection of multitrack stems from the Eskimo sessions issued on two vinyl records and a CD, is released by Cherry Red / MVD. Buyers are encouraged to sample the record and build their own mixes of the album.

June[]

  • 7th: The PAL TV LP is reissued by Klanggalerie with a bonus track of the early Mole Show performance at Santa Monica.
  • 24th: A Kickstarter campaign is launched to benefit the Lab in San Francisco. The Residents sell tickets to their rehearsal of God in 3 Persons at the Lab to help finance the campaign.

July[]

  • 1st: Klanggalerie releases the Hardy Fox tribute album The Godfather of Odd, with contributions from several of Hardy's friends and associates. The Residents contribute the new track "If Only".
  • 18th: YouTube user "Charles Burnett" uploads a song titled "Bury My Bone" by unknown blues artist Dyin' Dog.
  • 19th: The Residents have a special sale of their book The Brickeaters, bundling it with a CD of River of Crime outtakes titled Music to Eat Bricks By, to serve as musical accompaniment to the story.

  • 8th: The pREServed edition of Not Available is released by Cherry Red / MVD, along with A Nickle if Your Dick's This Big (collecting the two 1971 demo albums previously released for Record Store Day).
  • 13th: Randy Rose makes another appearance, having changed his name back to "Randy Warthog" and become a painter. He offers his painting American Warthog to help The Residents finance the God in 3 Persons MoMA performance.
  • 15th: Psychofon publishes Steven Cerio's art book Fresh Hell in Fits, showcasing his work with The Residents since the mid-1990s.
  • 21st: The Dog Stab tour is announced for Spring 2020.
  • 22nd: Randy Rose offers another painting, Mona Lisa Warthog, to benefit the God in 3 Persons campaign.

  • 1st: The Santa Dog compilation Refused is updated and reissued by Klanggalerie.
  • 6th: The God in 3 Persons fundraiser meets its goal.
