Bobuck Plays The Residents is a cover album by Charles Bobuck featuring newly recorded solo renditions of selected tracks from his career with The Residents. It was released on Klanggalerie on September 19th 2016.
History[]
An album of cover versions by Charles Bobuck of songs he had composed for The Residents was first suggested by Walter Robotka of Klanggalerie following the release of Bobuck's version of "Never Known Questions" in 2014.
Bobuck was initially reluctant as he had never been a confident singer (and had already recorded the original versions of the songs) but over time started to enjoy the process, and eventually released the results as Bobuck Plays The Residents.
Two outtakes from these sessions were released on the Later Tonight EP in 2016.
