Bubba Hodges is an employee of The Cryptic Corporation and personal assistant to The Residents,[1] who has acted as a representative and spokesperson for the company since at least early 2023.[2]

Aside from the company's founder and "Captain Doc" Homer Flynn, Hodges is currently Cryptic's most active spokesperson, often replying to email enquiries and engaging in press interviews on behalf of the Corporation. Hodges has also occasionally written press releases, on one occasion taking to The Residents' official website to sell a set of Flynn's bedroom furniture which had apparently been "haunted" by a visiting Resident.[1]

Hodges notably shares a surname with "Seymore Hodges", an alias used by The Singing Resident for his guest appearance on The Foo Foo Heads' 1990 song "We Don't Talk to Strangers", and later, as the voice of the IRS Man from The Residents' 1995 CD-ROM Bad Day on the Midway.
