Carla Fabrizio is a vocalist and classical musician who has frequently collaborated with The Residents since 1998. She often provides female vocals and classical instrumentation for the group's work. Fabrizio was also a member of The Residents' touring band for ten years between 1998 and 2008.

History[]

Carla's entrance into the recorded music industry was in 1987 as a freelance celloist on American Music Club's second album, Engine. She collaborated with Toiling Midgets for their 1991 album Son and single "Golden Frog".

She then appeared as one of the prominent artists on the 1993 gamelan music compilation, American Works For Balinese Gamelan Orchestra, featuring performances by members of the Gamelan Sekar Jaya recorded between 1990 and 1991.

In 1994 she made various appearances as a multi-instrumentalist on several albums before eventually crossing paths with The Residents in 1998. She provides vocals and additional instruments to the Wormwood album and live show, which would begin her time as a core collaborator with The Residents. From that point onwards, she appeared on all The Residents' major albums and tours, barring nine years between 2009 and 2017.

Carla occasionally collaborates with other artists such as Dimesland and Charles Bobuck. Appearing on over forty Residents releases, Carla is one of The Residents most prolific collaborators.
