Diana Alden Lang was a vocalist for The Residents throughout much of the 1990s. She is best known for playing Timmy in Bad Day on The Midway, and performing vocals on Lillie, from Freak Show.
Outside of The Residents, she produced an album for Dena DeRose.
Background[]
Diana first worked with The Residents in 1990 on the Freak Show album, where she performed vocals on 'Lillie'.[1] Following this, she would become a regular member of The Residents' studio collaborators. For the 'Our Finest Flowers' sessions, she performed on 'He Also Serves' and 'Ship of Fools'. Diane's most notable role with The Residents was as the lead character in their 1995 video game, Bad Day on The Midway, Timmy. She would continue to portray Timmy in various Residents projects for the rest of her career.
Her final work as a regular member of The Residents team was with the 1998 album 'Wormwood', on which she performed additional vocals.
For much of 2004, she worked with The Residents on the Freak Show DVD, reprising her role as Timmy. The Cryptic Corporation would cancel this project following the death of director Jim Ludtke.
The Residents would re-use voice lines from the film on their 2006-2007 web series, Timmy.
