The single was released as part of the 13th issue of Hardy Fox's Hacienda Bridge newsletter, "Goddamn The Tar Man" detailing the history of a secret Residents side-project entitled Black Tar & The Cry Babies.
Entrails of tomorrow is described in the newsletter as a concept album about 'Jonny', as he morphs into different inanimate objects. The single is an excerpt from that album.
