The Model is the third single released by Snakefinger. It was produced by The Residents.
Background[]
Das Modell was written by Ralf Hütter, Karl Bartos, & Emil Schult for their band Kraftwerk. It was released in 1978 and the English version, "The Model", was a minor dance hit in the US that year. Kraftwerk were a big inspiration for Snakefinger and The Residents, being the namesake of The Residents' "Krafty Cheese".
Snakefinger covered The Model for his first album, Chewing Hides The Sound. "Talkin' In The Town" was recorded by Snakefinger shortly after the release of Chewing Hides The Sound for inclusion as the B-side to this single.
