Dr. B. Kim Andrews (sometimes known as Ima Buddy or Kimba) is a noted fan, "uber collector" and "unofficial archivist" of The Residents, who is perhaps best known to other fans as the curator of the now defunct Smelly Tongues fan club and mailing list, as well as for his contributions to the 1993 book Uncle Willie's Highly Opinionated Guide to The Residents.[1]

While compiling the Highly Opinionated Guide in 1992, Andrews also created a private document, Ima Buddy's Totally Impartial Companion to Uncle Willie's Highly Opinionated BIG MAMAS, containing lyrics (some transcribed directly from The Cryptic Corporation archive) as well as other interesting artifacts, such as excerpts from the screenplay of the unfinished film Vileness Fats and Andrews' own transliterations of the chants heard on the 1979 album Eskimo. Andrews freely shared the Totally Impartial Companion in November 2021, posting it to The Residents unofficial Facebook group in Word and RTF formats.[2]

Andrews was also a contributor to the website RZWeb created by fan James "tzoq" Redekop, parts of which were later incorporated into The Residents' official "Historical" section on their official website. Andrews was featured as an interview subject in the 2015 documentary film Theory of Obscurity: A Film About The Residents, where his introductory caption describes him as a "Residents Lab Rat", and was the subject of an entry in the official 2022 encyclopaedia Faceless Forever.[1]

Since 2014 Andrews has been the Director of Information Technology at Baylor College of Medicine Human Genome Sequencing Center in Houston, Texas. He remains active in Residents fandom, frequently engaging with other fans on social media and in discussion groups, and his years of expertise have aided both directly and indirectly in the creation of this wiki. He is noted for his habit of buying four copies of every Residents release (one for each member of the group), as well as demonstrating an affinity for the number seven (commonly requesting the seventh copy of any hand-numbered releases).[1]
