Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention

"King Kong" is an instrumental by Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention, originally released in 1968 on the Uncle Meat album.

In 1971, it was covered by the group who would later be known as The Residents with Philip "Snakefinger" Lithman on guitar for their Baby Sex demo tape. This cover is one of the more widely available pre-Residents recordings, as the group have since re-issued the track on a number of compilations, starting with The Residents Radio Special in 1979.
