Leigh Barbier is a California based artist whose distinctive style was synonymous with The Residents for much of the 1990s. She was a core collaborator with The Residents from 1994 to 2001, but has most recently worked with them in 2020.

History with The Residents[]

Her first artwork associated with The Residents was created for the Snakefinger compilation Against The Grain in 1983, but it wasn't until she created models for The Residents; Gingerbread Man CD-ROM in 1994 when their collaborations truly began. Most recently she has worked with The Residents on their God In Three Persons Mini-Tour, for which she created props. She is the mother of frequent collaborator Isabelle Barbier, and the wife of Captain Doc of The Cryptic Corporation, Homer Flynn.

Barbier has also worked on Hollywood films as a part of George Lucas' Industrial Light & Magic production company from 2002 to 2016.
