Marge Howard was a San Francisco local who is best known for her appearance in The Residents' unfinished feature film Vileness Fats as the mother of the protagonist Saint Steve. Howard was a bill collector at UC Medical Centre when she first met The Residents in 1972.[1]
Vileness Fats was shot between 1972 and 1976, but was abandoned by The Residents before it could be completed. Two short edits of the film have been released (in 1984 and 2001); Howard features prominently in both.
In 2013, Howard was remembered by a Resident as having been "way cool".[1]
