Melodic Virtue is a publishing house in Indiana operated by Aaron Tanner,[1] which seeks to preserve and promote the legacies of underground bands through the release of limited-run coffee table books.
Melodic Virtue are presently compiling material from The Cryptic Corporation archives for a "three or four volume set" of hardcover coffee table books, titled A Sight For Sore Eyes, focusing on the art and history of The Residents.[1]

The second volume in the series, A Sight For Sore Eyes, Vol. 2, was released in July 2023 in three versions; a standard edition with a one-sided 7" single featuring the American Composers-era outtake "That'll Be the Day (Baby Baby)", a deluxe edition which includes a picture disc of the single and a second hardcover book, UWEB Newsletters 1988-1993, and a super deluxe edition, limited to only 50 copies, which includes the aforementioned contents, with a Steven Cerio art print and a 6" polyresin Cube-E Resident figurine.
