The Residents, in collaboration with video artist John Sanborn, will be performing their epic GOD IN THREE PERSONS at the MUSEUM OF MODERN ART in New York City, doing three shows on Jan 24 and 25, 2020. The performances will include eleven performers, featuring a live seven piece music ensemble. Today's pREServations and... a challenge?[]

Today is the official release date of the latest in the pREServed series. The first is a compilation of pre-Residents material, previously released as the Record Store Day LPs The W***** B*** Album and B.S., plus other related pieces. It's called A Nickle If Your Dick's This Big (1971-1972) and is available from Cherry Red and MVD and all good music retailers.
The second is the long-awaited Not Available. Why was it not released between the Duck Stab and Eskimo pREServed editions? Is it because they forgot about its existence? MAYBE! And in that spirit, if you're up for a bit of a challenge, after you buy your own copy and bring it home, how about putting it on a shelf and not listening to it until you forget about it too? There are multiple ways to win with this challenge: if you do forget about it, then congratulations on putting the Theory of Obscurity into practice! If you cave in and listen to it, then you get rewarded with some really great unreleased material (plus just a fantastic album). There's also a side quest where you remember it exists but forget you bought it so you buy it again - each time you do this, The Residents' bank account wins!

The Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for The Residents' God in Three Persons at the MoMA has just passed the 60% mark with three weeks left to go. COOL! Also, new perks are getting added every few days, including props used for the filmed sequences. VERY COOL!
