Secret Communication for Residents' Eyes Only[]

Hey... are you a Resident? You must be, otherwise you wouldn't be reading this top secret message. There's a lot more of you out there, thanks to the I AM A RESIDENT! project exploding out the idea of what it means to be one. So if you were one of the nearly 200 participants who submitted a track, you probably already know this, but for those who haven't heard - or for anyone else who is interested - check this out...

IAAR is gaining a life of its own. Over at Talk of Creatures, the fan-run forum dedicated to the Fearsome Foursome (or let's make that the... Cumbersome Any Numbersome?), enterprising Residents have taken it upon themselves to keep a collaborative channel open. Basically it's a place for Residents like yourselves to keep in touch and work on new projects together. It consists of two forums, one for project ideas / collaboration, and one for artist profiles (to look up who is available):

http://rzforum.createaforum.com/ (listed under "Artiststuffs")

So pop in, fill out your artist profile, and join in the fun. It's the perfect way to keep your creative juices flowing while you wait for the next "real" project to come calling you.

Loss of the Lizard Lady - new LP from Secret Records[]

Secret Records, who previously brought us vinyl versions of 13th Anniversary Show: Live in Holland and Snakey Wake (as well as some tasty releases from Rz-adjacent acts Snakefinger and Renaldo & The Loaf), today announced a new double LP: Loss of the Lizard Lady.

"A collection of songs fronted by Molly Harvey between 1994 and 2005. Includes one full length LP of studio recordings and one full length LP of live material. Take it all in and realize what an important and amazing addition Molly was to the ever morphing and mysterious Residents. 20 out of 24 of these tunes have never been on vinyl. 8 of them have never even been on CD and another 8 were only on rare, limited edition CDs. So grab this wonderful tribute to a wonderful weirdo."

Available in a number of limited vinyl pressings, and also just a straight-up digital release (for those of us who are more ethereal) at https://secretrecords.bandcamp.com/album/the-residents-loss-of-the-lizard-lady

Hardy Fox[]

Many of you may have noticed changes to Hardy Fox's website and Facebook page giving dates of 1945-2018, and understandably are wondering if he has passed away. The good news is that he was definitely alive when he made those updates.

The bad news, though, is that he is very ill and that end date of "2018" may prove to be true. Hardy, a longtime master of PR thanks to his decades as a Cryptic Corp spokesperson, has seized the opportunity to scoop everybody on an autobiographical detail that very few get the chance to share.

We at Cryptic are deeply saddened by this news, but while Mr. Fox is still alive we prefer to celebrate his life rather than dwell on his impending exit. And to respect his actions, we will not share any details he himself does not make public.

Hardy has been, and remains, a good friend, and we wish him nothing but peace and happiness in his remaining time.
