Rilla Contemplates Love is an album by Hardy Fox, released on September 18th 2018 on Klanggalerie.
Consisting of a single track lasting almost 43 minutes in duration, Rilla Contemplates Love was the final album released by Fox prior to his death on October 30th 2018.
History[]
According to the album's liner notes, Rilla Contemplates Love is the result of a computer reading the thoughts of a sedated gorilla, and translating them into words and textures. It is stylistically and thematically similar to Hardy Fox's self-titled album, released earlier in 2018.
Rilla Contemplates Love was released a little over a month prior to Fox's death on October 30th 2018, and was his last solo album to be released during his lifetime (though he would go on to record 25 Minus Minutes a week prior to his death).

Several years ago scientists made serious attempts to understand how a gorilla processed love.
A subject named Rilla was sedated and laid in a reclined position on a field of synthetic grass.
The computer tried to change the thoughts into words, the sound into textures.
