Scene 6 of The Residents' unfinished feature film Vileness Fats was written and shot on open reel videotape in the early 1970s in a small-scale set constructed in the ground floor of the group's Sycamore Street warehouse.
The scene is featured in both released versions of the film; the 1984 VHS featurette Mole Show/Whatever Happened to Vileness Fats?, and the 17 minute "concentrate" version featured on the 2001 DVD Icky Flix.
Official synopsis[]
Hiding out in their cave on the edge of the desert, the Bellboys are seen constructing atomic shopping carts in preparation for their next attack on the town.
As their confidence begins to wane, Lonesome Jack reminds them of the magic powers of Evergreen, the essence of purity and truth. With their beliefs validated once again, the Bellboys are re-inspired.

The below is an excerpt from the original Vileness Fats screenplay, transcribed by noted fan and collector Ima Buddy, and included in his 1992 document Ima Buddy's Totally Impartial Companion to Uncle Willie's Highly Opinionated BIG MAMAS.

Scene 3: Lonesome Jack in Cave With Bellboys Building Carts After First Attack Has Failed[]
Starts with interestingly composed shot or shots of cave and Bellboys, and quickly gets to Lonesome Jack who is talking to Weenie - LJ is somewhat upset still by the story of the sword fight and Weescoosa.
- Weenie:
- These atomic shopping carts'll do it, huh Chief? Huh? Huh? That she devil's real bad, LJ, real bad. AAAAAAAAAAAAAA! (Makes airplane noise) Ack-Ack-Ack-Ack-Ack-Ack! (Makes machine gun noise) Bad! Bad!
- Lonesome Jack:
- She devils! She devils! It's not getting told already, and it has to be told! And now she devils!
- Weenie:
- Just one she devil, Chief.
- Lonesome Jack:
- It has to be told - After all, quality hates the hungry. Did she really come out of nowhere?
- Weenie:
- Right, Chief, right! Right, right LJ - Outta nowhere! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Ack-Ack-Ack-Ack-Ack!
- Lonesome Jack:
- Poncho! Poncho! How did you see it?
- Poncho:
- Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! (Hysterically)
- Lonesome Jack:
- Okay, Okay, Fred, you tell it.
- Fred:
- Well, but-but-but, well, well well, but, but --
- Poncho:
- Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! (Weenie hits Poncho with a giant hammer)

- Mel! Mel! What did you see?
- Mel:
- Truly, is a sounding board an otherwised thing - A rare delight in spite of what the Yellow Pages sing?
- Poncho:
- Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! (Weenie hits him again)
- Lonesome Jack:
- Storky! Storky!
- Storky:
- Hey! What?! What?! What! Hey! Hey! Hey! What?!? Hey! (Weenie stops hitting Poncho and starts hitting Storky.)
- Poncho:
- Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! (Weenie hits him again.)
- Lonesome Jack:
- (Somewhat loudly) It's easy only opens after Evergreen begins. (Others all stop and start repeating "Evergreen! Evergreen! Evergreen!") Weenie! (Weenie comes over.) Weenie, I must go now to pray for our success. I've, I've just got to get out there, out there in the rarified air. I've got to get out there... But you, Weenie, you're my link! You're my link!
- Weenie:
- Right, Chief! Right! Right! (Sort of rolls his eyes as LJ leaves.) (Bellboys are still repeating "Evergreen" in the background.)[1]
