Sitting on the Sand is a song by The Residents & Renaldo & The Loaf. It was recorded entirely in 1983 in the overdub sessions for Title In Limbo.

Background[]

The track was recorded by The Residents & Brian Poole at Groove Street Studios in October 1983. Dave Janssen, who had co-written the song with the Poole & The Residents, could not attend the recording sessions in the US, so recorded tape loops in his home studio to be used.

The track was released November 15th 1983 on the album 'Title In Limbo'

In 2017 Klanggalerie finally released the long awaited 4 daze tape. On this tape is 45 minutes of demos that would become "title in limbo". The motifs of this song can be heard on "Guitar Loop". After these tapes were revisited in 1983 Snakefinger was invited to add extra guitar to the song.

Lyrics[]

Winga Wonga Bim Bom Man
Ate a piece of bungles hand
It will sit upon your leg
Like a frozen architect.
