"Smokebeams" is an instrumental by The Residents, first released as the eighth track on their album The Tunes of Two Cities (the second part of the group's epic Mole Trilogy). The album was released by Ralph Records on March 6th 1982.
Stylistically inspired by 1940s big band jazz, "Smokebeams" represents the culture of the fictional Chubs, the antagonists of the Mole Trilogy. It features a guest appearance from Snakefinger on guitar. To date, the song has not been performed live by The Residents.
