Talking Light Caen France is the second release in The Residents' second series of Talking Light downloads. It's also the eighteenth of sixty-seven digital live albums released of The Residents' Talking Light world tour. The show was recorded at Le Cargö, Caen, France. The Residents would play in France again on the final date of this leg, three weeks later.
During Randy's second monologue he references the Dubai and The Eifel Towers. At all previous shows he had mentioned the Empire State Building and The Grand Canyon. Also, due to technical issues during The Unseen Sister, the performance is very stripped back, only Randy's vocals, Bob's guitar, and limited glitchy keyboard parts.
There is no outro music.
