Recording[]
Following the conclusion of The Residents' Bunny Boy multi-media series in early 2009, The Residents began working on their next major project, Talking Light, a live performance tour based on ghost stories; the afterlife and regret.
By January of 2010 the show was essentially complete and were in the midst of rehearsals. The live-in the studio rehearsals featured on this album were recorded three days before the premiere of the show on January 23rd. The album notably excludes the newly written material which featured in the show like the monologues, Talking Light, The Unseen Sister or any of the Night Train songs.

Release[]
The album was released on April 26th, 2010 at the debut of the show's second leg. It was only available on that specific leg, and has now been out of print for over a decade. Interestingly, the album's label is RSD, making this RSD's only physical release. The Residents would later go on to release Lonely Teenager, a studio reworking of Talking Light which is often seen as an alternate to this album.
On March 31st, 2022, the album was uploaded to streaming services throughout Europe.[1][2]
Artwork[]
The front cover depicts two Residents in their Randy (Right) and Chuck (Left) costumes worn on stage during the tour. The backside of the booklet making up the front cover depicts a Resident dressed as Bob.
