Monologues[]
- ↑ "Hi! I'm Randy, singer for The Residents? This is uh - Chuck over here on keyboards, and Bob on guitar. Now, I'm sure most of our long-time fans out there remember that there were always four of us. Well, I'm sorry to say Carlos has retired. Carlos decided he didn't like the show business anymore, so he went back to Mexico to take care of his Mom. But! we wanted to invite you, all people, into our living room here and we're gonna do some few songs for you and tell some stories. Now some of these stories are gonna be a little bit spooky. So, get ready, this' the first one, it's called... the Talking Light."
- ↑ "I don't know about you, but I believe in ghosts. They've been there- They've been there my entire life. There was Red, the construction worker guy... that fell from a twelve story building, and I found his body, and then, after that, every time I went up high somewhere, like up on the edge of a cliff, or the Eifel tower or someplace, Red would appear, and he would talk to me in this soothing voice, trying to get me to jump! And then... there was this big glowing ball that landed on top of my head when I was stuck in quicksand in Crossett, Arkansas and the inside of that ball was full of bugs and snakes and worms... it also had the cut-off head of a train conductor. It was weird. But worst of all, worst of all, is the Mirror People! But I'll tell you more about them later."
- ↑ "The Mirror People. The Mirror People! They were always there, and it really wasn't a problem until one day, I was shaving, and I was in the bathroom, and it was all steamed up, and the mirror was all foggy, then all of a sudden I heard this voice it said 'Randy, I want you' I said, 'Pardon me?' But I knew who it was. I looked around; nobody was there, and finally, I went up to the mirror and wiped it away... and there he was, staring at me!
- ↑ "The Mirror- The Mirror people! They never look at you. They never talk to you! If you're looking at them, and they never talk to you if someone else is in the room, it's one of their rules, but they're always there, they're always there, trying to get out and get you. My wife is one. Bonnie, my wife, is one, and that's why I sleep in the garage now. I never go around mirrors. I can't go near a barbershop! That's why I shaved my head. Once when I was a kid, I was in the barber chair, and I started looking around, and I saw all those mirrors, and I got so weirded out I jumped! And the barber stabbed himself in the cheek with his scissors... my mom cut my hair after that."
- ↑ "OK! I've got a mirror! Mirror on both sides! I know this Mirror People stuff, I know it's weird, I know. You probably think I'm crazy. But I'm going to show you. Now, I don't think you're in any danger; you're too far away... but I'm gonna look in this thing... ok.. ok... HE'S THERE; HE'S THERE! ... Hi, I'm Randy. Singer for The Residents? This is Chuck on keyboards, Bob on guitar. We're gonna do a few more songs for you. This next one is about a sweet little old lady.
