Ted Wade (credited as T.D. Wade) was a member of the "anti-fraternity fraternity" Delta Nu, which originated at Louisiana Tech in 1963.[1] Wade was one of the few members of the group who did not join them in moving to California in the late 1960s.[2]

In 1985, Wade authored a novelization of The Residents' concept album Mark of the Mole, which to date has never been published (aside from a brief extract in the 1993 official history Uncle Willie's Highly Opinionated Guide To The Residents).

Aside from the excerpt of the novel and some references in the official 2022 encyclopedia Faceless Forever, no further information about Wade is known to the public, and The Residents themselves have rarely ("if ever") discussed him.[2]
