Theory of Obscurity Soundtrack is a digital-only release by The Residents, and the official soundtrack album of the 2016 documentary film Theory of Obscurity: A Film About The Residents.
A "concentrate" collage of short extracts from songs and interviews heard in the film augmented by drone and ambient music, the soundtrack was released by The Cryptic Corporation on December 18th 2014, as a single 52 minute MP3 file sent as a thank you to contributors to the Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign for the film.
