History with The Residents[]

Following his 9 year-long tenure as the drummer for the Iggy Pop band, Toby was invited to become part of The Residents touring band along with Molly Harvey, Carla Fabrizio & Nolan Cook. From 1999 to 2004, starting with Wormwood, he performed with The Residents in three separate touring shows and contributed to three albums, Icky Flix, Demons Dance Alone & The 12 Days of Brumalia.

Toby has never been credited with a specific role within The Residents, and has only ever been credited with 'sound making'.

Following the recording of 12 Days of Brumalia Toby ceased collaborations with the band.
