Tom-Erik Løe (also known as Thom Eck and Z eb) (born 1981) is a Norwegian musician and fan of The Residents who is known for his contributions to The Residents' official collaborative projects I Am A Resident! in 2018, and Duck Stab! Alive! in 2021. Løe has been a musician since the age of eleven, and has released his own music since 2004.

Løe announced his retirement from The Residents fan community in November 2021 following a brief dispute with label Klanggalerie,[1] however he has remained consistently active within the community since.[2]

Residents-related activity

Tom-Erik Løe was the founder of Who Killed Ralph?, an unofficial series of Residents tribute albums which began in 2016 and resulted in the release of eight volumes, all available for free on Bandcamp. Who Killed Ralph? ended in 2018, following the announcement of The Residents' collaborative album I Am A Resident!.

Løe contributed a version of "Smelly Tongues" to I Am A Resident!, which features in its full original version on And So Are We..., the bonus disc included with some copies of the album.

As "Z eb", contributed a short video piece to the group's "I Am A Resident! 2021" campaign, which was used as part of The Residents' performance of "Constantinople" in the streaming TV special Duck Stab! Alive!.

Løe was acknowledged for the Who Killed Ralph? series in the official encyclopedia Faceless Forever, released in December 2022; the entry notes that though the series has never received an official endorsement from The Residents, the group appreciated the gesture.[3]

WOW Demos dispute

In late November 2021, Løe briefly retired from The Residents fan community, following a dispute regarding a "thank you" credit given to Lisa French (an administrator of this wiki) on the Klanggalerie compilation album WOW Demos 1.[1][4]

Following this, Løe has continued to remain active in some Residents fan groups,[2] but has been banned from others (including this wiki) for persistent abuse of multiple fans and other Residents-related figures in the days following the dispute.[5][1][6][7]
