Uncle Willie (alternatively spelled Uncle Willy) is a minor character portrayed by The Residents' co-composer and engineer Hardy Fox in the group's unfinished feature film Vileness Fats, filmed between 1972 and 1976.
In the film, Willie is the proprietor of Willy's Hot Spot, a nightclub in the village of Vileness Flats which hosts musicians such as N. Senada and Peggy Honeydew. Willie delivers the film's concluding moral following the deadly knife fight between Arf and Omega Berry. The character appears in both the released featurette versions of the film, on the 1984 VHS release Mole Show/Whatever Happened To Vileness Fats? and the 2001 retrospective DVD Icky Flix.
During production of Vileness Fats the character's name was spelled "Willy", however the character has often been retroactively referred to as "Uncle Willie". The character later inspired the pseudonym of Uncle Willie, the founder and operator of the official Residents fan club UWEB (or "Uncle Willie's Eyeball Buddies"), which operated between 1988 and 1992.
